Responsibilities and Duties:
- • Assemble electrical/electronics and other related optical modules.
- • Prepare components and related assemblies.
- • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes/procedures and other related documents.
- • Perform visual inspection and corrective actions as required.
- • Perform test, analyze and records test results.
- • Follow quality standard and report product/process non-conformances.
- • Repair, rework and test if required to meet specification.
- • Operate within standard operating procedures and job safety.
- • Complete daily production logs.
- • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
- • Train with other product lines to provide team flexibility and efficiency.
- • Follow lean manufacturing practice for continuous improvement; 5s, Kaizen and etc.
- • Comply with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- • Promote and support good team work environment and positive attitude.
- • Other duties as assigned.

Job Description: Sales Engineer - OEM Account Manager

Education:
Photon Control designs, manufactures and distributes a wide range of optical sensors and instruments to measure temperature, pressure, position, and flow. These products are used by original equipment manufacturers (OEM) as well as end-users in the Semiconductor, Oil and Gas, Power, and Manufacturing industries.
The Role:- The Sales Engineer OEM Account Manager will use their application and product knowledge along with proven sales skills to provide custom solutions to new and existing OEM customers and to manage the company’s ongoing relationships with its customers.
- • Provide one of the two key points of contact (along with engineering) for customer enquiry and support.
- • Work with the engineering team and the customer to help identify and develop specifications for new products.
- • Liaise with other departments (engineering, production, quality assurance) to address on-going customer problems plus requests for product changes or variants.
- • Work directly with distributors on business opportunities as well as providing technical training.
- • Research new markets and customers who may benefit from existing or new company products.
- • Negotiating product pricing, contract terms and conditions to meet both customer and company needs.
- • Respond to requests for quotations from customers.
- • Working on after-sales support services and providing technical back up as required.
- • Support marketing activities by attending trade shows and conferences.
- • Prepare sales plans, forecasts and contributing to sales budget information.
- • Supervise technical sales and sales order entry team.
- • Ensure customer delivery schedules are met.
- • Provide training and mentoring to other members of technical sales team.
- • Other duties as assigned.
Required skills and experience:
- • Three or more years of relevant experience as a Sales Engineer with managerial experience
- • Extensive experience of selling to OEM’s ideally in semi-conductor or optical sensors and measurement industry
- • Ability to work in a team-oriented, technical environment with an expanding customer and product base
- • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
- • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
- • Strong customer service orientation
Education:
- • Relevant engineering degree is strongly preferred especially in the field of sensor and measurement technologies, application development and system integration.
